A drawer in the virtual world, a graphic designer in "real life." In other words, being in the wrong place at the wrong time all the time.

animadvertistine:

I got this turquoise pen in Paris, I told Brian I wanted to buy one and he picked that one because it was his favorite color. When I finish a sketchbook I write a name in the back cover. Sometimes it doesn’t mean anything except that’s who I think of when I flip through the pages of that particular books. Sometimes it’s because that person heavily influenced every drawing (hey, Thuan). Sometimes it’s very personal, sometimes it’s just sad. Most names belong to people I’ll never speak to or see again. I guess my point is that a lot of people inspire us and affect our art and I like recognizing that because it’s important. If I were to die, say, right now, I’d like it if these sketchbooks somehow went to these people and I’d hope they understood how much that means and how important that makes them to me.

I forgot about this. I haven’t been filling out names since I moved to Korea, even though I have four sketchbooks here....
