I hope you like this; i decided to do a picture by drawing one image on the side and flipping it because i couldn’t come with anything more creative on such short notice ^_^; It was my first time trying this, but i think it suits since it later on occurred to me we’re both Gemini’s! I made a pose like this because you liked my other sketchbook wip that has a similar pose. I left the outlines because i was too scared to do more natural look by blending colours- you know how talentless i am. And well, the hair’s black because we both have black hair; and they’re wearing green shirts because well i’m wishing you and its my favourite colour ;b

Happy Birthday FatmaI have not blogged enough for the sole reason of not wanting to. I have made ground somewhere else, where I am more comfortable.
Nevertheless, this is a special occasion, it’s as special as it can get. It’s Fatma’s birthday! Which means she’ll officially be ten years younger than Angelina Jolie(Not really), and ten years older than me.
But really I am not as free-willed as often, because exams are set earlier this year, and there is no need for me to excuse myself.
Happy Birthday Fatma! May this summer, and the year it entails, bring more than we’d ever hoped. And shall drawing be as harsh as it has ever been.
It finally feels real, particularly this steep end we’re on. I was just questioning the need to tell what it is mutually known only for the sake of an occasion. Because appreciation, and conveyance of truths is an everlasting necessity, and shouldn’t be exclusive to your birthday. As long as we both know and appreciate the fact that we’re not normal, and that we unrelentingly have passions in our lives, to which owe much of ourselves, we won’t need to awkwardly muster something out of our norm for any of these occasions.
To the best sister anyone could ever ask for. Yes, Sara, you’re not good enough, not really, but yes… You didn’t even plan to make any of your diabetes-inducing cakes, I presume.

And you are the best brother anyone could ever ask for, you’re an inspiration. And thank you for playing Zombie Apocalypse with me, I wanted to try Journey though.. the point of buying it is for me to TRY IT you know! ;P <3

Is still in bed. Yes this sand storm is worse than ever.. I had too much trouble sleeping last night..! Therefore I will not be going to work today.. I sent a message to my acting boss and should manage to work on the iEARN Arabia logo at home..
Btw, notice that I only realized now that it isn’t iEARN Qatar..! It’s Arabia.

Someone said that their lines are child-like but they’re not “childish”..
Sold the big Moseley print from the exhibition, so that’s nice.
Here is something else nice - one of Charles Avery’s beautiful, mysterious drawings. Even though he’s only illustrating his personal complicated fantasy, the draftsmanship’s so gorgeous that you’re fascinated despite yourself.
And this is how he does it, apparently — taking a line for a walk and seeing what materialises.
And here is a quote from the book, Drawing Projects:
Physically everything has a meaning, the meaning of a kettle is to boil water, the meaning of a table is to support things, the meaning of a wall is to avoid one space from another. Some things in my drawings have a meaning, others do not, their meaning is to mean.

I just opened my closet and reached to the sketchbooks shelve, when my hands got itchy. I wanted to start a new sketchbook so badly. Imagining how it would feel to draw on that paper, how it’ll react or absorb those markers and fineliners..
I’m more than half way done with two sketchbooks at the moment..! I never really thought that sketchbooking can be this addictive..
It shouldn’t be. :)
