My mom babysits Shosho in the morning. I called and I asked her to let me say hi to Shosho. I talked to her but then she didn’t let me hang up. I said bye and she insisted on talking. And since I have a phone bill to pay by the end of the month I had to give in and end the call…!  Awwww, she’s soooooo adorable <3

Time for a drawing break.

Alright! The text for the brochure design has been finally finalized, which is more than great. I should finalize the design this weekend, and have it ready for next week for printing. And since that is taken care of, all I have left is a meeting at FITCH. Nobody knows where that is exactly, so it’s a mystical experience of way finding fun!

In the mean time, i’ll be drawing. :D

It is no secret that I am not enjoying Ramadan this year. I’m only struggling, physically more than mentally. Which isn’t bad at all; It is part of the whole experience. Ones endurance and patience are being tested during this holy month. If it is a test, then I might have failed this year. But the month isn’t over yet!

However, lots of good things happened during these 24 days. Things like:

  • Mayed’s room on the 3rd floor. It’s almost completed. Only two things left; the windows and lights. We’re planning to have a little garden on the roof. I bought the book to teach me all about it. We’re thinking of turning it into a New York-an type of little garden! haha. We scraped the floor yesterday, but It seems like it’s gonna need a little more than just scraping…
  • There were also lots of laughs, conversations and untold conversations. I enjoyed the moments with Ibrahim and Mayed; they’re so much alike. Moments I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. Two of my favorite people ever. Two faces of the same coin!
  • Lots of sunsets.
  • And one special sunrise. It was the time when Mayed and I decided we wanna buy a Telescope!

On a less happier note, the most thing I thought about this month is the dead ones. Uncle Mayed, Uncle Salim and one colleague’s brother who passed away a week ago.

Yesterday, I kept thinking about opposites. Why were we spoon-fed the idea that Sad is most likely the opposite of Happy? What happened to unhappy?
